| CD3 is a highly specific marker for T lymphocytes. It is expressed by T cells in thymus, bone marrow, peripheral lymphoid tissue and blood. The majority of T-cell neoplasm expresses the CD3 antigen, while it is absent from non-T-cell lymphoid malignancies. CD3 is an essential marker for the initial evaluation of chronic lymphoproliferative disorders. The antibody is a useful marker when used with L26 (CD20) in differentiating T-and B-cell lineage. |
