| CD8 is expressed in cytotoxic/suppressor T cell subset but not on B cell lymphocytes. The antibody can be used as part of a panel of antibodies to classify T cell disorders, including T cell lymphomas, and to differentiate between helper and cytotoxic T cells. It may be also used for for the differentiation between mycosis fungoides and cutaneous inflammatory processes. The antibody labels native cytokeratin 15 in human hair follicle bulge keratinocytes and a discrete area of the outer root sheet basal layer near the attachment of the arrector pili muscle without labeling the remaining hair follicle. |
