Chromogranin A present in secretory granules of endocrine cells. It is the most specific marker for neuroendocrine differentiation and corresponds to the neurosecretory granule.
The antibody labels chromogranin A and is used to qualitatively distinguish between neoplasm of neuroendocrine origin from non-neuroendocrine origin. |
