| This antibody labels cytokeratin 5 and 6, and is useful for the differentiation between low differentiated squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma, and between epithelial mesothelioma and metastatic carcinoma in the pleura when using together with a panel of other antibodies (e.g. Calretinin, TTF-1). Anti-Cytokeratin 5/6 has also been found useful in the differential diagnosis of atypical proliferations of the breast. |
