| Thyrogobulin is the precursor of thyroid hormones. Thyroglobulin antibody may be useful in the identification of well differentiated thyroid carcinomas, and for the identification of metastatic thyroid carcinomas. It is expressed in most papillary and follicular thyroid carcinoma. |
